Hello and welcome! I am Dr. Mary  Crockett-Smith a certified teacher and the proud founder of The Christian Academy - Academic Child Care Centers. With twenty plus years of experience in early childhood, I have committed my life to providing the highest quality learning experience and care for our youngest ones. 

 

After years of teaching and administrative work in the public education sector and graduating from St. Louis University with a doctoral degree in education, I knew my Godly purpose was to develop a high-quality Christian and academic child care centers that were second to none!  Thus, The Christian Academy - Academic Child Care Centers were designed to prepare youngest ones for kindergarten by teaching them to read, write, count and understand God's daily values for mankind. The Christian Academy offers a loving age appropriate classroom environment that prepares nursery through preschool age children learning activities and lessons that encourage children to explore, share and grow in safe and nurturing environment. .

 

Our highly trained teachers use research-based curricula: Creative Curriculum, ABeka, Hooked on Phonics, and frontline Phonics to educate our young learners. As a certified teacher in both English and Mathematics, I have had the opportunity of working with the children for over 13 years in public school settings, and I am very aware of what Students Entering Kindergarten must know in order to be successful.

 

It is my mission from God to educationally prepare His young ones for the world. Whether your child is learning their first words or has elementary on the horizon, we prepare your child for success in school and most importantly, to know the Lord, Jesus Christ. I look forward to working with you and your precious ones  in building a strong educational background for Kindergarten and beyond!
